What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file your browser stores when you visit a website. They let the site recognize you on later visits — typically to keep you signed in or remember a preference.
Cookies can be "first-party" (set by us, sprintjobs.us) or "third-party" (set by another domain loaded inside our pages). We use both, sparingly.
What we use
Session / authentication cookies — the only cookies we strictly require. They keep you signed in across pages and protect against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). Without these, you can't use the dashboard.
Onboarding state cookie (sprintjobs-onboarding-complete) — a short-lived flag set after you finish onboarding, so the dashboard doesn't bounce you back to the wizard while the session refreshes. Expires in 10 minutes.
Preference cookies — none today. If we ever add theme or layout preferences that need to persist, they'll live here.
Third-party cookies
Google sign-in: if you authenticate with Google, Google sets cookies on its own domain (accounts.google.com) as part of the standard OAuth flow. We never receive those cookies; they live entirely on Google's side.
Stripe (when billing is active): Stripe sets fraud-prevention cookies on payment pages. They are required for card processing and we cannot disable them.
Analytics & tracking
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any cross-site advertising tracker.
We do measure aggregated, anonymous traffic patterns via server logs — those don't require cookies. If we add product analytics in the future (e.g. PostHog, Plausible), we'll list them here first.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. If you block our session cookie you will not be able to sign in.
Most browsers also let you set per-site rules — useful if you want to keep advertising cookies blocked globally but allow ours.
Changes
When we add or remove a cookie we update this page. Material changes are emailed to existing accounts at least 30 days in advance.
Email team@sprintjobs.us and a real human will respond within 5 business days. We're a small team and we read everything.
